Kathleen, pretty knits, especially the blue green throw(?). And a total surprise to see my dog with one dirty ear in his usual position, but on your sofa, not mine! Johnie (named Johnie Be Good by his first owner - shortened to Johnie by us because "be good" sounds just like "bigotte" which means mustache, to my Portuguese neighbors) is a maltie-poo by birth and a cross between a guard dog and a couch potato by nature. I had to laugh! One of my favorite photos is a rack, tilted vertically for the sake of the photo, of a bunch of handknits outside drying! That was two years ago, the sock stash has increased so I probably need to redo the photo when the current wip is done! Thanks for the smile.

This is awesome! I'm totally trying these. We usually use (shhhh) Bisquick, but let's face it... not the world's finest biscuits. But heck, even those take 30 minutes, so I have zero excuses now.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I'm so glad you are excited about the project. The recipe is very simple: 7 c. flour, 3 tbs. olive oil, 2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. sugar, 3 c. water.... add salt and spices of your choosing until you like it!
I might take you up on a helping set of hands in the future =) Hope to see you at the Des Lee or the SLOUP dinner in April.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. It's exciting to know people are excited and interested in the project! Thank you for your offers for help! In the future, I might need to take you up on that =) The bread recipe is just a laffa recipe I found online - the trick is to use walnut olive oil and add lots of spices! I just used an spice mix for olive oil and put it into the dough - rosemary, sundried tomatoes, garlic.... 7 c. flour, 3 tbs. olive oil, 2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. sugar, 1 pkg. yeast, mix with 3 c. water. Add spice and seasoning til you like it!

Kathleen, I've done the same with old, from a tag sale, dresser scarves. They are almost always handmade (I lived in the country back then) and far to pretty to discard, even damaged. These had pulled thread work and some had crocheted ends or embroidery. Invariably they were done on white muslin. Fold so the less-than-perfect bits are hidden, lace a bit of fine ribbon through the openings if you need a touch of color. In some small windows I merely made a small heading and let the croceted ends drape to either side. Although my tastes tend to be more modern, I was living in a two-hundred year old house at the time which asked for, no, demanded, a touch of the old fahioned.
